CMI Alumni

Here are some recent accomplishments of CMI's acclaimed students:

- A CMI violinist ('11) took 1st place in the  York River Symphony Orchestra Solo Competition. 

- Multiple alumni were featured as soloists with the Tidewater Intergenerational Orchestra, January 14, 2012. 

- Harpist Melody Stein performed with the American Youth Harp Ensemble at the Kennedy Center Awards Program Reception in December, 2011

- Cellist Milton Lopez performs this season with Symphonicity (the official Orchestra of Virginia Beach)

-Violists Audrey Reisner, Greg Bowen, and Samantha Bryant, and violinists James Noel, Fravarti Purveyor, and Lauren Guridy (all in high school) were accepted by audition in the University of Richmond Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Alexander Kordzaia

-Seventh grade violinist Elizabeth Horley was named concertmaster of her school orchestra
